Re: Craig's List FAQ

In South Florida, our boats come equipped with a defendau and a yipies. After seeing it listed on a boat' "for sale" sign it took me almost a day to figure it out...

CATransplant, Whats your translation on this one?

Wow! I believe the translation would be very simple:

Look at this big boat! Buy it! It's no darned good, but a guy can try, right? It's got a great trailer, if you have a 16' boat to put on it. So, buy this boat right now, and make lots of money after you fix it up. You betcha!

My favorite is when they get into trouble with apostrophes and quotation marks.

Boat for sell. 78' Bay Liner. (Wow. That's HUGE!!)
21" Cabin Cruiser. (Something Stuart Little might like)

We also have a Pontoo Boat up our our local Craigslist. What's a Pontoo?

He hit the dock and knocked the nose cones off the pontoons, leaving pontoos.

Re: Craig's List FAQ

''If I had time to fix it, I would" is often used with "weekend project" in Craig's List Ads.

This means: ''I have been too busy to take care of this boat, but I want to sell it to you... a loser with no life who will gladly spend all his free time fixing what I neglected.''
