Just got back from bring the boat down here from PA.

Neighbor dug up two more sets of heads.

One is casing #14022601-53cc 305 heads-nope.

The other set looks like a pair of 327 heads. Casting #3827185.
They are 67cc heads. Does anyone know if these are worth cleaning up and putting in?

Ayuh,..... If they're 327 heads, they won't have the accessory holes in the ends to mount the accessories, that you need,....

Have you tried watching for car/truck part outs in your local area?

My son just scored a complete, running 350 with accessories for $500.
He has a truck project again and wants us to build another 383 stroker.

He found some a little cheaper but they were already out of the vehicle so all we could do is turn it over by hand to make sure it wasn't seized. But he remembered what old dad told him years ago... start with a running engine you'll have less hidden nightmares.

You're right. There are no accessory mounts.

Found a pair of complete vortecs on ebay for $225.

Neighbor also has several more sets of pre-vortec heads.

Will look around this weekend and make a decision.

@Scott Danforth are the 14102193 cylinder heads any good?

Got a pair of them on hold right now.

Neighbor's heads all needed work and the vortecs I found were cracked.

87 up TBI small valve. I would not go out of my way to buy them, however if you got them free (yes, free), and then took them to a machine shop to freshen, you would have about $350 in them.

Otherwise call around to some good machine shops and not your neighbor and get a good set of vortec heads for $400.
