Could it be the timing?

After I get this coil problem solved, I need to take a closer look at the timing settings on this motor. I'm thinking the misfiring issue sounds like a timing symptom. The plugs look good. If the coils check out(see previous posts), then this seems like the most likely cause. What do the more experienced members think? Cheers

You need to accept the fact that timing on these motors is set at the factory.------It does not go out of adjustment during normal operation of the motor.------Unless the flywheel key shears.----Or somebody starts tinkering with it.

Understood, thank you. I will leave the timing alone. Will go and remove from the freezer that "humble pie" that my wife made me ! She said I will probably need some ! I've learned 2 things lately from this forum...timing and carbs are preset from the factory so don't screw with them!!! Adjustments are made via the link & sync! Without question!
