Re: Costa Concordia

Saw some of that show last night, watching with my son. I would not have waited for the abandon boat with it listing like that, I would have made sure people were boarding and getting away from that thing earlier. The way it was listing it could have capsized if it were in any deeper water and the loss of life would have been greater. I have often wondered what with 3rd world crews and training what would happen today if another Titanic wreck were to occur, and now we know. I have taken many cruise's in the past and one in Hawaii was a concern as the lower balcony's furniture washed away one night on some huge waves, and our daughter on a roll away ended up next to our bed. That and knowing that some of the crew were ill prepared for this makes cruises out of our vacations forever.

Re: Costa Concordia

Well I wanted to update you folks. The bodies of the couple from my town have just been identified. There are still 2 missing bodies yet to be found on the Concordia.

Sad, but glad the family gets closure. This particular couple had been shortly retired and really looking forward to the world traveling they were embarking on, beginning with there trip on the Concordia.
