Corsa exhaust smell

On my 246 Chaparral with 6.2, I have the Corsa exhaust coming out the side operated by switch. When I turn it on and Im at idle or just in gear, the exhaust smell is present, but only when Corsa is turned on. Is this normal ?

if you have a fuel smell, then you may want to look at your motor.

and yes, if your motor is running rich or not firing a cylinder, when you have the exhaust diverted vs running under water, you will smell it.

I would say exhaust smell, not fuel smell. I dont smell it under the hatch, just out Corsa. I corrected my first post.

So this is a normal smell, since its straight open exhaust ?

Ayuh,.... I can't smell it, so I donno,.....

If it smells like gas, it's probably runnin' rich,....

But, Ya, open exhaust above the waterline is gonna Smell alot more than exhaust dumped underwater,....
