I live way away from small towns. I need new spark plugs for a 140 Suzuki Outboard. The closes I found within an hour was NGK BCPR5ES, the recommened ones were NGK BCPR6ES. Is the 5 closes enough to the 6? Thank you for your help up front.

The 5ES is a hotter plug than the 6ES. There is always a chance that running a plug that the tip is hotter could cause detonation. Whether that could happen on your motor I have no idea but is always a good idea to run the plugs recommended.

The other choice is to cross them to a plug that is available locally. Do they cross to AC, Champion or Autolite?
