correct prop depth

have pontoon and the prop is only 3-4 inches in the water is this deep enough?

This question would be Much Easier to Answer if you'd supply info, Such as,.....

What is the Boat,.....
What is the Motor,.....

Is that 3,or 4"s from the very Top of the prop,..??....

Short shaft motor perhaps on a 'toon that requires a long shaft motor?

You tell us. Does the prop ventilate when you hammer the throttle, or when you are in rough water.

If no, answer is no.

If yes, answer is yes.

If yes, then what are your options to correct it would be your next question for the guys to answer.
