Copper head gasket

The head gasket for my 1951 elgin 16 (2 cylinder) needs replacing and are non existent. This head gasket has the metal ring (goes around cyllinder bore) infused to the gasket.

Since they are unobtanium, what about making a copper head gasket of the ssme thickness?

Copper would cause galvanic corrosion between it & the alu block & head!

Dead soft aluminum would do the same thing as an old school copper gasket, without the galvanic corrosion

agreed on the aluminum.

1000 series aluminum (commercially pure) wouldn't last long given the pressure, temp and the lack of oxygen.

C110 Copper would be a much better solution
