Hey guys. Well, after two yrs. the old girl got splashed today. Went well except for it is still overheating. Replaced the lower unit water pump with a kit. Ran great and then we stopped and did some fishing and then started to get warm, so we called it quits. I got home and replaced the thermostat. Still overheating. Does anyone have a diagram on how the thermostat sits in the housing? I put the new one in like the old was oriented.

It would help if we knew what engine we were talking about. :D

Try running it with the T-Stat removed. If it still runs Hot, you're chasing the wrong problem.

Well, after the boat sitting last night and me going out and gonna dig into it more, believe it is a sending unit issue. The air temp is mid 60's to low 70's and gauge is reading that the temp is 160 on a cold engine.
