converting from mercury 40 to evinrude 50

Looking at an aluminum modified v that currently has a mercury 40hp on it with full controls. I have a 14ft fiberglass trihull with a 50hp evinrude with full controls. My question is what am I up against to swap the the OMC to aluminum boat and vice versa. I hope to sell the fiberglass with the 40hp on it.

Just swap the motors, controls and ect from boat to boat and you'll be fine.

It is....Its just pretty much one electric "dummy" plug on each motor and un-bolt the controls from the bolt and lift it off.. Are there any gauges wired to either motor?
