So I have found a 17' Bass Tracker Texas Tournament aluminum boat for a reasonable price. It has a single console for the driver and has a passenger seat. Platforms front and rear. My preference for a catfish boat is no decks, solid floor, front and back. A small front deck is ok for trolling motor, though I seldom use mine, unless while catching bait. Like to be able to get to the transom area for rod holders.
So the question is, how difficult would it be to remove the rear casting deck, and most of the front deck. and install an aluminum floor. Feel sure I can wreck it out, don't know what I will find, under the decks as far as flooring. I can install an aluminum floor using road signs. Thoughts, suggestions.
