Re: Condensation in boat

What causes the condensation is the diff. of air temps. The inside of the boat being colder then the outside.
To cure the mold problem just spray the inside (fabric) with Lysol. No more mold.

Re: Condensation in boat

My boat is used year round but kept 40'+ in the air on a dry rack inside a building. The huge doors are open during the day. Mo nold, no condensation. Best thing I ever did was buy the dry stack at the marina.

You guys with these "dry boats" must live in a desert.

My boat is keep in a pole barn with an open front w/o a cover. It's not uncommon, especially in the Spring and Fall to have condensation dripping off the inside/outside surfaces in the morning / evening. Putting any sort of cover over the boat only exasperates the problem.

I keep my boat outside covered under a canopy and have no condensation problems with a vented cover.

Dry rack.....no thanks. They where popular until we had two or three boat-a-cues in as many years.

Re: Condensation in boat

I've done the shrink wrap and tarp deal on my past two boats and never had any mold. There was always air circulating inside and that's the key.
