I currently have two deep cycle batteries on a 2 bank battery switch and I want to replace one of them with starting/cranking battery. If my stereo is hooked up to bank 2 and starting/cranking will be bank 1, is there a way to still play stereo on bank 1 while running boat and without having to run it on switch 1+2 ?

Goal was to have them separated for their own purpose. Starting for starting and deep cycle as house when anchored.

In short no.
The switch is to divide the charge from the motor between two batteries. It does not control what device is wired to which battery

Everything wires to the "out" on battery selector switch. When moored switch to house, when running switch to start battery. Or both if you need to charge house. Also if either battery is way low it will pull the other one down trying to balance voltage

Same thing applies to the voltage level at "full charge". The different type of battery will have a different "full" voltage and could either not get fully charged, or you'd boil the electrolyte out of the lower voltage battery while the higher voltage battery is telling the charger to keep charging...I'm not full.

Well, you could always run the stereo directly to bank 2 and bypass the switch.

If wired correctly you will power everything you need in either position. As everything will be powered off either your house or start battery pending what battery you have turned on.
