Oh yes, many of us are extremely passionate about our college football. That is why these threads don't play out well. Eventually someone will say that team A stinks, and then the fight will break out. So, please keep it civil guys, and if you like Team A, let it roll off your back.

Thanks to your early thread comments and the effort put forth toward setting up the ESPN game, it has lasted longer than we both thought.

Manziel was amazing. That play where he leaped the Duke lineman was incredible.

Re: College Football Thread?

Wow, some interesting comments coming out about/from O'Brien ... He had a hard row to hoe at PSU ... He came in at a difficult time (maybe the understatement of the century) and did an amazing job. But he had to know that after 60 years of Paterno and that no football coach has left the university since 1918 to coach another team (and that was because he enlisted in the army and coached near his vase, he came back to PSU as an assistant after his service tenure), that it would be difficult to replace a legend (regardless of how you feel about his involvement with Sandusky). From a local standpoint, there is still a lot of love for Joepa, but O'Brien garnered immense support because he did respect the Paterno tradition, while making the team his own. Most people were very happy with him and there were a lot of BILLieve shirts around campus and the community. Guess it was definitely his time to leave. I wish him well. He certainly will not have the job security that he had at Penn State ....

We currently have a tie at the bottom and a tie at the top. Musky/Spikes down below and Sam/Bruce on top.

The Rose Bowl pitting #4 vs. #5 is the 2nd biggest game of the year IMHO. Can't even remember who's #3. Guess I'll look it up.

Not that I am a fan but Georgia gave that game away. Three dropped passes in the in the red zone when they really needed it. Yuck. I am pulling for Michigan but unless things change I ain't seeing it.

LSU is now 41 and 2 against non SEC teams.

South Carolina I called that one.

UCF is the largest college in Florida. They are just going to get better.
