I think that darn blue and yella team only beat us 3 times...

I know the saying about there are no stupid questions. I have to ask. Why does College ball season end around the 1st week of December and then weeks later play in the Bowl games? How are these kids supposed to play well after 3 weeks off?

I think a lot of it has to do with Finals week at most colleges falls between Deceber 1st and the week before Christmas. So they "give the players off" for finals. After all, they are academic institutions, not sports institutions ... :eek::rolleyes::D

It's great that the smart ones work hard for the degrees that they earn. Some think their bodies will be tough forever but they have basket weaving to fall back on...:D

Congrats Art on getting to go to a Bowl game...:thumb:

I went to the first SEC Championship game back in the early 90`s. Alabama and the Gators. Being a Bama Fan and living in Florida I called my buddy back home to get us tickets for the game. No tickets were available so I was able to get tickets down here in Florida from a friend that is a Florida Alumni...:croc:

I did not tell my buddy that we were going to be the Only 2 Bama Fans sitting in the middle of 20,000 screaming Gator Fans...:shocked:

We still talk about that 'experience" til today...:laugh:

Alabama Won BTW...:D

I played in the 1979 Gatorbowl Game ! Michigan vs North Carolina ! :)
At halftime ...:rolleyes:
My position was 1rst trumpet representing my high school in an All County marching band .. I think we played something stupid like Over The Rainbow IIRC ..
But the one thing I remember is “Hail to the Victor” ! The Michigan fight song ! I picked up on it right away and started playing it . Always been one of my favorite fight songs !
But I will NOT be playing it during this years Peach Bowl ! I hope I don’t hear it at all that day ..:lol:

Heck...I couldn`t carry a tune in a number 2 wash tub with a lid on it...!!! :eek:
