76 chrysler 45.....I am having a heck of a time with coils. I keep melting them. I have a clymer manual and the is no reference to a resister wire but when I hook the directly to the 12 volt blue wires, the last maybe one hour at the most.
Check that the plugs are the reccomended plugs, and that the gaps (if they are the anode type) are set properly.<br />Outside of that, you got me. I don't have specs for 84 and older.
