I have two sheets of 3/4” plywood to laminate to the existing 1/2”, and 3/8” sheets already on the transom. Is cloth or mat necessary or not, between the 3/4” and the sheets already in place and then between the 3/4” sheets. Will be finishing with a couple three layers of Mat on the inside when plywood is installed.

Cloth is not really needed.-----But it does add a lot of strength and resistance to bending forces.

Epoxy or poly? If its poly put some mat in between. The fibers help fill the gaps and valleys between the plys and give the brittle resin its strength. Epoxy.... i dont think it matters too much but use cloth, not mat if you add glass

Poly. Used mat. One sheet on one to go. Waiting on supplies.
