In a week or so I plan to pull my boat out to give it a mid-season Wash, Polish, and Wax. Currently it floats in a canal of a freshwater lake. Any suggestions on how to get underneath the bunks of the trailer?

Thanks.

I'm sure that some more experienced people will chime in. But the easiest way I've found is to just reposition the boat on the trailer ( a little off ).

So you'll just shift it side to side a bit and maybe forward and back as well?

Thanks for the input.. hopefully somebody else will pitch in but that's definitely a good, simple start.

Use some Car Jack Stands and make some Carpeted "Bunks" for the top of them. Pull the boat back off the trailer about 18" and clean and polish the back 18" portion of the hull and the front 18" of the hull. Now jack the rear of the boat up just a bit with a hydraulic jack and place the jack stand under her just enuf to clear the trailer. Pull the trailer forward far enuf to gain access to the rest of the hull leaving the bow on the trailer and effect the cleaning and polishing then back it back under the boat. Jack it back up and remove the jack stands.;)

This pic will kinda give you the idea...
