I have an 85 Rude 90hp I'm rebuidling the powerhead on. Just got my cylinder heads back after having them resurfaced. The "cup" area of the head has some metal dust in em from the milling. Whats the best way to clean that off? I want to get the carbon off as well. Can I use water to rinse them off or should I use a carb cleaner?

Re: Cleaning cylinder heads

actually try a soft wire brush like brass or a stiff plastic one.
