I have a 1978 MCM 470 4 cyl GM engine that is leaking antifreeze out the weep hole on the circulating pump. Does anyone know where i can get a new or rebuilt one.

Re: circulating pump

there is no circ pump per se, but an impeller . leaking from the weep hole means the seals are leaking and maybe the camshaft is grooved.
do a search for manual #8 ,that should be for your engine.

Actually, manual 8 isn't the correct one, You really need the serial number to be sure. You could need manual #2 or #3. Boat year doesn't always mean engine year.
Here is link to find both manuals. http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.html

Is it a 470 or is it a GM... World of difference...

Re: circulating pump

Yeah, cam seals. Read this: http://www.sterndrives.com/470information/470coolantleakrepair.html But you do NOT need a lot of special tools, a harmonic balancer puller from autozone (borrow for free) will do, but you will need to make a spacer to install the rotor because it is quite deep, or you could use a 1/2 inch fine thread rod and a stack of washers and a nut. You should not have to mess with the motor mount. If you mess up the pan gasket you can just cut a new piece out of gasket material. Lots of guys here have done this, do a search for "speedi" yeah I know that is not logical, but will get you to the right threads. Lots of guys here to help. Good luck.
