What did y'all get for Christmas? Any cool boat stuff? I'll start.

-LED Mag Light
-Craftsman plier set.
-Assorted Craftsman hand saws.
-Craftsman portable table saw.
-Long sleeve cotton boating shirt.

I have got to get this Whaler refit done. I have no excuse (table saw) now.

Man, what a haul. I am a Blessed man.

Jim,

My birthday is in January so the saw is that too. Fine by me. :)

Enjoy the show. Carrington has quite an off color vocabulary but he is funny.

I got a very oversized bow guard for my trailer. It's the thought that counts though, so I'll take this as permission to buy a yacht. :D

Also got a waterproof survival flashlight that's the kind you shake to produce electricity. It really works great.

And of course I bought my own transom repair materials for my main gift (since my wife didn't know what to get)

Re: Christmas Gifts

Our entire family got the gift of sharing Christmas with my sister Theresa this year. She is in home hospice care and was not expected to make it through Christmas. She however had made prior arrangements and was not going to be denied sharing this special day she had been planning for months with her family and grandchildren.:)

Re: Christmas Gifts

Man, I got what I always get. A whole day of making all the electronic stuff work for the kids  If I ever have a Christmas without having to visit a tech support site then I will be a blessed man. Why do I always have to reformat stuff? Why does the driver that came with it need updating? Why can't the destructions specifically note the actual product I bought and am inquiring about? Rant off . . .

That's better . . . whew . . . OK, phase 2, I'm luggin' the three kids and the wife on a plane tomorrow (26th). As most of you know, I fly a lot, but that is usually alone, this is always well, uhhh, exciting. We're going to spend a week with my Mom in Chicago . . . brrrr. Anyway, wish me luck on the next phase of my Holiday :)

BTW, we had a great day and the kids got me a big Rivers of the World book. It's awesome. It was pretty cool to have the boys come show me where the Author got parts about the Colorado wrong . . . :D

Impact screwdriver, the requisite socks and shirts, and a set of large Craftsman screwdrivers. My son got me a Canon XTi DSLR and a 70-300mm zoom to go with it. He also gave me my father's Rolex watch back.

Several weeks ago he asked if he could have it to take to Rolex for an estimate for repair. I've had it since my father gave it to me shortly before he died in 1981. About a year and a half ago, I retired it because the band broke and it would stop every night about 1:00AM. Well, my son sent it off to Rolex for complete CLA, and returned it to me looking like a brand new watch. My wife told me he spent $1,000 getting it put back in A-1 condition, but it means a lot to me. I probably will be giving it to him soon.

Re: Christmas Gifts

Well I got.....

A Craftsman work bench (for my decent size shed).

A Die Hard Battery Booster (that I'll be caring with me on my boat most likely)

Bedding (I really did talk about getting myself a while back)

Dremel tool accessories

A Remote Clapper (that I haven't figured out yet , I believe it's a lemon)

Change sorter (sense I save my change)

Those knew battery powered Sonic scrubbing brushes that look like an over sized electric tooth brush

A few stocking stuffers

A digital fish scale (to replace the used one I bought at a yard sale that did not work right from the start, that was really a stocking stuffer if I remember right)

I bought myself an early Christmas Gift, an Ultimate 80's rock music CD

No not everything was give to me by one person, but as I may of mentioned my family likes to go overboard, which really had me going out Christmas Eave to find a last minute gift lol. Which I knew what I was going after.

Re: Christmas Gifts

The same as last year

4 Kingsford Charcoal Bricketts, AKA - 4 Lumps of Coal. My son is 7 so he thinks it's the greatest thing in the world for dad to empty his stocking and out comes the coal, a tradition I started about 7 years ago. And a Mini - 14 :D

Re: Christmas Gifts

Well, I guess I was blessed this Christmas. My girlfriend bought me a 16 foot bowrider for Christmas. Yeah sure it's an older one...1985 I believe, but WOW!
It didn't come with a motor, but I bought a 50hp Merc for it.
Also, it does need some work, but minor stuff.
I'm one happy boat owner!

And my girlfriend asked for a kayak, so I got her one. Now I just need to figure out how to add an outboard to the kayak....get that thing going a bit faster than just paddling. lol

Re: Christmas Gifts

Congrats, Jim Young....

I got The game Monopoly, the newest version with the Visa Creditcard. The book D'Aulaires book of Greek myth. I wanted this book for a long time. I had it once as an audio book, but never found the book in the stores here. My girlfriends grandma ordered it from Great Brittain.
I got loads of special beers and a book about specials beers! Some warm woolen socks, shaving cream, a pocket knive, some of my favorite brand ciggars (Balmoral Overland Corona's).

I'm very pleased with my gifts. I got my girlfriend christmas ornaments from the JIM SHORE heartwood collection and the new Spice Girls cd (  ).

And the usual stomach ache from all the food :D
