Well, it is 3 mins to midnight and then it is christmas day down here.
Just sneaked into the kids room and dropped off a present from 'Santa' (we still have this rule - if you don't believe in Santa, how can he leave you a present?)
I know he always tries hard to stay awake to catch me, but he missed again this year.
Have a great Christmas day everybody.
Cheers
Phillip

I can't believe that you folks down under celebrate Xmas in the middle of the summer! How does Santa get his sleigh to go with no snow? Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the Holiday season. At least you get to go fishing over Christmas!

Phil do the roos carry the presents in their pouch so Santa doesn't strain himself with his big sack? I can just picture 8 kangaroos hopping around on the roof.

Re: Christmas Downunder.

So phill what did you get wile we all eagerly awate.

Well, I got a 8 pack of exotic beers, which I will enjoy in my own company.
I got a great assortment of vegetable seeds - as I am about to build a new veg garden.
Hayden gave me a Voucher for the Hardware store and a can of Coke with my name on it (what a brilliant marketing ploy eh?)
Me and Anita got ourselves a new TV for the outdoor area. It is nice and cool out there.
So I am a happy camper.

Cheers
Phillip

PS
The grand kids come tomorrow.
They always ask what i want and I always say "a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates" - then there is silence and looks of amazement. The oldest now quietly whispers to the other, "he gives them to Grandma cause she does everything". I catch them out every time.

Phillip, it sounds like you have a great life down there but I wouldn't swap you mine for it. It's Christman every day with my wife still hanging around with me and all the kids within a 4 hour drive. It sounds like you have great Xmas's with the kids and grandkids being there. That is the best present of all. Besides if I moved down there you guys would all talk like foreigners.

If you would have said Canada instead of Finland, I would have thought maybe there was something to your "earlier start"! LOL! 3 outta 4 ain't bad!

I know absolutely nothing about this sport, have not one clue - so I looked up the 'draw', then checked where oops! came from, and there was no way I was going to give him a nice peaceful breakfast!.

Re: Christmas Downunder.

lol phil.

it is very hard to describe the connection that canadians have with hockey....

but it will suffice to say that virtually every kid in Canada is given a set of hockey skates and a stick by the time he or she is six.....some at 2 or three. and in some cases....even younger.

generally speaking.......we don't let that hockey stick get out of our hands till we are around the age of 16 when girls come into the picture.....and even then we don't put the stick down for long. some hold that hockey stick all their lives.

those of us that dont make the cut, watch on tv while still playing lessor leagues.

the ones that make it.........are nation wide heroes
