checking stringers and transom..

i have floor up just busy picking the soggy foam out, what is the proper procedure for checking stringers and transom for rot? im 99% sure stringers are needing replace but transom????

Hit it with a hammer that's how I found my soft spots lol.Then if it's rotted get out the grinder.

Drill some small holes in it from the inside and look at the shavings. If they are dark and wet it's rotted. If light and dry, then fill the holes with 5200 and buy a lottery ticket
