Two totaly different stories. The first was using eminant domain force the sale of private property to a private business entity. BAD!
The second story was using eminant domain to force the sale of private property for a goverment road project, according to the article, for "safety" improvements. I think that would fall into the catagory of "public good" that eminant domain is supposed to be used for.
The road's realignment, or straightening, would start about 0.1 miles east of Ky. 1025 in Olive Hill and go about 1.5 miles east toward the interstate and increase driver safety, according to state engineers.
