Met Janice Joplin one time. We attend her show with Big Brother and found out where they were staying. Had a nice, brief visit with her in the lobby of the Holiday Inn. She signed the back of my draft card, but it's been at the bottom of the lake with my wallet for 30 years or so.

I was on an escalator with Jerry Jones at AA arena. We were attending a Desperado's Arena Football game. He was on the wrong escalator and someone came along to escort him to the one that took him to his private box.Got a hand shake<br /><br />My friend in high school almost hit Charlie Pride's car in a near head on at Los Rios CC in Plano Texas<br /><br />Passed Larry Hagaman and his entorage at DFW airport back when "Dallas" was big. Got a nod from him

I got "special" tickets to see a taping of "The King of Queens" a few months ago. Got to go down on the set and meet Kevin James and his TV wife who's name I can't think of.<br /><br />I shook Michael Jordan's hand a long time ago, when he was still a Bull.<br /><br />I was at a party with Art Alexakis (singer from Everclear) and talked to him for a little while, apparently he lives not far from me. <br /><br />I've also met several of the local news people...to me that's the most exciting, since I see them every night on TV.

played in a company golf league for Kohler Co at Black Wolf Run and met a bunch of people there golfing.. other than that. nope.

I met Roger DeCoster and Bob Hanna at Red Bud TNT. DeCoster was way cool and real, Hanna was an arrogant person. ****er could really ride though!<br /><br />Motocross, about 1979, RedBud, Buchanan Michigan..yep, used to race and those dudes were my then hero's.

pjc, Bob Hannah is a neighbor, and retired from cycles. I sure wouldn't call him arogant. He flies and sells aircraft, I think he is as good a pilot as he was a rider... Chief

Not directly famous, but my wife and I were married by GW Bush's pastor. 17 years ago. <br /><br />Oh yeah, I was on the 'Happy Raine' show in cub scouts.

Almost met Robert Deniro once. He landed in a helicopter outside a high end cabinet shop where I was helping a company program his furniture with robotic woodworking equipment. Nobody was allowed to speak to him or look at him. I was as I was not an employee but a subcontractor. The employees were told they would be fired if they spoke to him. Then I found out at least they claimed that Deniro made these demands and they were just following up on them to keep him happy. I watched him pick out paneling and kept wishing he would look at me so they would try and fire me. Ha! Can't fire them u hain't hired.

I lived down the street from Aaron Bohrod, a semi-famous American painter. Could see him working in his shop, we kids occasionally dropped by and gave him trinkets we found here and there and some were included in rather famous paintings. We had kin from Nebraska stay for a reuinion and they put up a few of us that weekend. His wife and my Mom were good friends. My Mom saved all the Bohrod Christmas cards (odd since they were Jewish), newspaper articles, and a hand painted doodad or two.<br /><br />For you Badger fans, I got to meet Pat Richter back when he was still playing. My Uncle and Aunt lived down the road from his family when he was a kid. My Uncle introduced me at some Masonic Temple function. I remember how tall he was (is), but then I was probably 6 or 7 at the time.<br /><br />Mayor Otto Festge of Madison shook my hand once and congradulated me on my entry at some Hobby Fair when I was about that same age. I had no idea who he was. He was a popular mayor second only to Paul Soglin.<br /><br />Worked for Dennis Tiziani, a pro golfer that played alot but never got much press or won much. Worked on Dave McClain's lawnmower (a very polular Badger football coach). Oh, and I saw GW's motorcade once. I refrained from flipping him off... ...I think. <br /><br />When I was a Cub Scout I went on the local kid's show with Howie Olsen and Cowboy Eddie on Channel 3 (Circus 3). I was bummed cuz I watched Cartoon Corral with Marshall the Marshall all the time on Channel 27.

I stood in line behind Julia Roberts at the local supermarket. I thought she looked familiar, but didn't realize who she was until later. <br />She was filming a movie in the area. Something about a wedding. Never did see it.
