CDI box compadibility

I have been on e-bay looking for a pair of CDI boxes and I found some for a 1985 3 cylinder 85 hp motor with terminal strip connections. Will this style work on my 1986 125 hp motor with terminal strip connections? They look the same and some of the seller say they will but I dont know if it is worth the risk.

Yes they will work.

Rule of thumb is: If you have black cd and coils, they are interchangeable with other black cd and coils.

If yours are blue, you need blue ones.
