Thanks Lectro88 - Appreciated. Have been working on my son's 14' 89 Lund during the last couple of weeks. Replaced the seat benches and added a Striker 4. I'll send some pictures when I'm done. But I ran into an old man's problem. Measured the triangle plywood on the bow of the boat and figured all the boards would be the same thickness. They looked the same, but were not on closer inspection. The rest of the old wood was likely 1/2", but that's okay because there are metal runner supports underneath. Because of the extra thickness in the new seats, I'll be adding about 15 pounds additional weight. No worries. Rather than scrap the work, I pulled 32 rivets and removed the tabs that were designed for holding the seats in place. In the rear, there is also a mismatch. The side foam cover lids are not plumb, so I'll reengineer that as well. Joys of working on an old boat. I will likely add an inside angle piece to level those rear side lids. I think I'll leave the old angle pieces off and just buck new rivets into the hull. Each seat has a aluminum center strut that should hold the seats down and then I'll add a couple of SS sheet metal screws on each edge for good luck. I plan to get back to the Chrylser 16' Pro Runner Bass boat in the next couple of weeks, weather permitting. I'm sending a new post today about bucking the rivets. You can join in. Again, thanks for you help. That hull and my 70's Pisces almost look like they came out of the same mold.
Your floor is set up different though.
I had to cut the transom glass out.
It was shattered and caved in from previous owner neglect.
Too distorted to try and repair over.
Only had 1 center 1x8 stringer in center.
You see the stringer I made is triple layers.
and adding 1 additional each side equally spaced from center to side hull.
This was a walk through to bow with windshield.
I'm doing away with that and converting to center console.(super custom)
no highjack meant.
Just showing the similars.
