Carpeting question

My boat has ugly red carpet and i have to fix a soft spot soon, im thinking about wether or not to put carpet back down. Ive seen newer boats that dont have carpet, im not sure whats there but no carpet, What are the options if i dont want to carpet my deck?

Your choice. Some like carpet, some don't. A lot of it depends on how you are going to use the boat. Salt water boats typically don't have carpet...a lot of fresh water boats do. Search the forum for carpeting, carpet, deck, or flooring, etc. and you will see a bunch of links like this:

There are other options.
I saw/read them here on the forum but don't remember the brand names.
Do a google search too.
