When removing the old carpet from a bass boat how clean does the fiberglass have to be?I have scraped and sanded with 80 grit paper but there is still small amounts of glue left.Thanks

What are you doing new caprpet? If so if it is smooth enough to make you happy your done. Carpet will hide a multitude of sins.
