Rebuilt my carbs and thought everything was good but gas will periodically shoot from my top carbs low speed needle valve opening with a puff of air. Behind the red bushing in the picture

You are missing the cover on the throttle cam pick up roller. The timing roller is probably in the same condition. Replace those rollers, preform a link and synch per manual. Maybe check for a sheared flywheel key if that doesn't improve condition.

The 1986 carburetors do not show a low speed mixture needle.----Nor the red piece to lock the low speed needle.-----So we do not know what you have or what you are doing.

Thank you, I had no idea. I’m having problems locating them online to order, would you happen to know where I can order them

I would think this site has them. I have no idea how the sales part works. Maybe someone can flag a moderator that could steer you. The one I knew passed.

You will probably need the timing cam follower roller as well. I think that motor has one, not sure and I am away from my shop.
