so i am not a very mechanical guy, and i believe my carb needs a good cleaning. is this a simple procedure on this small a motor, and are there online manuals to help me with it.
The carb cleaning is quite simple, however you need a manual and there are none on line. The OEM manual is the best but if your in a hurry most autoparts store can get them through marine or prime line.
ok so i hit the library and picked up clymers mercury/mariner outboard service manual but it is for 94-97 motors. mine is a 99. would anything in the carburetor/fuel system have changed that would make this book out of date for me or should i be able to use it.
