And pictures of the setup -- front to back may be worth a thousand more words. Since you feel this when towing, braking becomes more intense and therefore a warped brake rotor can make a pulsing feeling in the car that you might not notice at or as much when not towing. That doesn't account for the feeling when accelerating however. The push-pull feeling is relatively normal but may be more or less noticeable depending on the load, the vehicle and the roads you travel on. If this push-pull feeling is evident at very low speeds (say less than 10 mph) then you really need to look for loose wheels, bearings going bad, suspension issues, loose parts in the hitch trailer frame.

I agree that a pic or two of the setup would be helpful.
You do have the ball and coupler matched?

Holy long drawbar Batman!! That's like having a big ole breaker bar on the back of the car. By that I mean a 16'"draw bar has A LOT more lever action than a regular what 4-5 incher. Add the fact that it's 1 1/4 inch draw bar so you might have some flexing, , , yeah I'd say 100% of the problem is the draw bar.

Sorry for not replying sooner, last week was kind of hectic...
So from what I see with this setup the pull and push is normal....would a different setup help? We were thinking if changing the trailer will put less strain on the car...Maybe a lower trailer, that will not require such a high rise, so we could change the ball mount to a one piece, not an adjustable made from 2 pieces? Or a trailer with brakes and different axle (from what I read the torsion axle is better that the spring one?)

Also we noticed that the straps in the back of the jet ski have a tendency to get loose, we checked them before we left home, and when we got to the river there were loose, we double checked them when we left the river, and the same thing at home, and we were sure the strap mechanism was closed properly...can they become loose because of the push an pull?
