Having serious issues releasing the stern of the cap from the transom!! Have removed all of the screws/rivets/drain plug liners and a whole bunch of rock solid resin but it still wont budge!! Worried about damaging the fiberglass/gel coat. any ideas or advice would be a huge relief!! Its a 15' 1973 Formula Thunderbird T-150, I posted an earlier thread with photos and stuff but can happily upload them again if it helps! Many thanks and look forward to hearing your suggestions!

You should keep all of your posts in one thread so we can keep track of what you're doing with the pics and everything. Did you remove the splashwell draintube??

Hey, sorry, still getting used to the website! All a little confusing, do I just reply under the original thread? Otherwise, yes everything has been removed, I'm almost certain its just the adhesive! Wondering if there was a good tool or technique to pry it apart, is it always this strong? Hoping its a good sign regarding the condition of the transom! Thanks for getting back so quickly though, wasn't able to get to it today but will be posting more pics asap

Some mfgs do use a lot of resin at the cap at the transom only method is to use a sawzall or multitool and cut it free
