Can you ID this sailboat (Sunfish class)?

Calling all experts!
I just picked up an unusual-looking 14' boat. It's got lateen rigging just like a Sunfish but the hull is quite different. The bow is rounded, sort of duck-billed. My internet search hasn't revealed anything. The seller told me he "used to blow right by Sunfish in this thing", and thinks it was made in the late 60's or early 70's.
It's all fiberglass, and I think it has a beefier layup than the Alcort's.
The sail is original and has a unique logo- see the pictures.
Any ideas?

Re: Can you ID this sailboat (Sunfish class)?

The popularity of the Sunfish led to a bunch of knockoffs and clones.
Even companies like Montgomery Ward and Sears got in on the act.
Some of the clones include Starfish, Aquafin, Phantom, Goldfish, and Porpoise.
None of them match the sail and hull above, however.

Is there any other info you have???
Is there a hull #????
What are those stickers on the side of the hull???
Any words stamped anywhere on the parts (even the mast) might help.

Are you positive that it is 14'????
Sorry, but it has to be asked. Measure it exactly.

Here is a link describing a bunch of board boats w/photos.

I still don't see it though.

Yeah, it's 14 feet alright- I physically put a tape to it.
Those stickers on the side are old state park registrations.
I can't see any other markings or stamps anywhere, and there is no HID number. I didn't look real closely at the mast and spars- I'll have to check them.
I'd think the sail logo would be the best identifier, well maybe after the hull shape!
I'll bet it is one of those "off brands" from Wards or Sears. I owned a genuine Sunfish for 30 years and this hull is nothing like it.
I bought it just for the rigging, but I'd hate to cut up the hull and then find out it's rare or collectable.

Yeah, the sail logo is certainly unique.
I googled "rayfish", "devilfish", "skatefish", "devil ray sailboat", etc,,,,,,no luck.

This seems to be a common problem

We must think alike because that's exactly what I did, too. :D

Thanks for the Forum link- I forgot about that one....and guess what- I'm already registered there (from my days with the Sunfish)!

If I get any good leads I'll post it here.
