Can someone identify this rubber grommet?

I just purchased a used 1997 Johnson 40 and where we had it sitting, before moving it, this fell off from somewhere. We don't know where it came from. Any ideas what this is or where it goes?

Looks like a seal for an electrical connector

That is a seal for one of the Deutch or Amphenol connectors of the motor wiring harness. You will have to disconnect each connector to see which one is missing it.

Yes you are correct. It was a seal for a wiring harness. How it fell out is anyones guess though.
