Till I figure phone out. I made it to lake during the won bass tournament and stayed for two days. It was hot but the wind was calm and water was awesome.my new Seaswirl which I traded my Fourwinns straight across for ran great. We stayed at campground #1 site which we awoke to big red ants letting us know they were the boss by tent.ill put pic as soon as I figure it out. We also got to know Clifford pirch well. He won the tournament 1st place.50,000 and new bass boat. Way cool. How have all you been doing?

Usually Mead peaks for the year around now. 1088. I went from Echo up to Sandy Point last week. The lake ends just past the point. I was amazed how quick the water clears up. The quaggas are responsible I bet. The stripers are boiling in the mornings there. I saw a few boats in Gregg Basin but none in the 30 miles in between. Lots of burros along the shore. Too many. I am sure they are overgrazing.

Here's a cool old pic of St. Thomas form the early 1900's. The NPS is looking for more old pics for use in educational brochures, on-site displays and web pages about the lake and the once-submerged town.

Looked about the same when I was out there a couple months ago, At least they still have the low water launch ramp available.

Have you seen the motel? It's thrashed, windows smashed, AC unts missing... Sad to see that place going into the dumper and the park service doing nothing about it. I spoke to a guy out there and he said the NPS is trying to do away with the camping sites too.......
