If/when that happens, hope you will continue to share your knowledge of these old motors....I plan on running mine as long as I can. Ahh, the smell of pre-dawn 2-stroke smoke out on the water.....it don't get any better than that! Lol.Yes, maybe I must leave these lovely two stroke outboards too.

Thanks for that info.....yeah, there is no denying that 2-strokes are dirty compared to the 4-strokes....and I can see their concern about the drinking water for sure. I guess if they don't outlaw the 2-strokes outright they will make it too expensive to use them.....causing people to make the switch to 4-strokers.Topgun3690 the primary issues with two stroke OB here in Sweden is if the lake you use it in is a source for drinking water.
In the area I live we have two large fresh water lakes and one of these lakes is the source for drinking water and they forbid two stroke OB in 2020.
Maybe you are allowed to use acrylate fuel with RDE tested two stroke oil.
RDE (Real driving Emission tested in EU) and one of these RDE tested oil is the brand Triboron.
BUT the acrylate fuel cost two times regular fuel and the RDE two stroke oil three times regular premium two stroke oil.
Here in Sweden regular fuel with 10% Ethanol costs about 2 dollars per liter and premium two stroke oil about 5 dollars per liter.
Really really expensive.
I have not so much experience of four stroke OB especially new ones, BUT older four stroke OB do not have any catalyzer soo the big environment issue of the two stroke OB is the unburned fuel with two stroke oil compared to the four stroke OB.
