1996 cc starcraft mariner w/60hp merc.
the motor harness at the console has a black pastic snap on thing at the junction of wires were a few others come together.
when i turn on the key i get a loud buzzer coming from the motor. i think this is normal. i was trying to organize the wires and this plastic piece was making a buzz sound when i was coiling wires or when ever i touched them. i dont see any wires actually connected to this piece, it just holds them in place.
anybody know what it is and can i remove it?
i want to thank everybody who contributed to my sometimes repeated questions and difficulty understanding. i have a very good understanding of my boat electronics from this site. it's been great. i'm actually starting over and doing all new gauges because i got a good deal on a set that will fit.
