I'm deciding whether to buy a new 2013 model at a nice discount, or wait and buy a 2014 at the regular price. I'm considering a Stingray. Your valuable input would be appreciated.
Are there significant improvements on the 2014 model? I assume you would get the same warranty. Other than the status of having a "brand" new boat or if you are planning on selling the boat soon and would get better resale on a newer model I don't see the3 downside of getting a new 13 at a discount price. Just make sure you figure in your winter storage costs in the final discount.
What different comes with the 2014? Probably not worth the extra $$$. Warranties will last just as long. I last bought a 2006 in 2008,,,, best deal ever!
I agree. Go with the 2013. And enjoy your new ride! Be sure to review all the maint.& winterizing tips and such. We don't want to see a post of a 2013 with a cracked block anytime soon!
Boat technology moves at a snails pace. My identical boat was made for 7 whole model years with the least amount of change I've ever seen in all those years. Betting there are no worthwhile/substantial differences between the two years. I'd seriously consider the savings on the 2013. How do the Stingray prices stack up against non-budget boat year end prices? I'm looking at boat lifts and 4 wheelers now and the deals for the 2013's are awesome given the 2014's are either in stock or on the way.
