All right I finally got out from under the boat I've had for the last 4 years (93 bowrider) now I'm looking to get a center console to fish and joyride in. here in South Carolina CC's are growing more and more popular every season so the prices are out the roof. so I've been looking on the old faithful craigslist in Florida and the prices are juristically lower for newer boats.

here are a few questions I have...

1. Why are the prices so much lower there? because the wear and tear of all the saltwater or the fact that there are so many CC's there isn't that large of a demand for them???

2. I've heard a friend of mine say that there is a center console manufacturer that builds there boat with absolutely zero wood. WHO MAKES THIS?

First link is a 20' Angler bay style:

Second link is a 20' Angler offshore stlye:
http://www.anglerboats.com/model/center/204F/204F.htm

Both are same manufacturer (also wood free construction & lifetime warranty),

Sorry, no clue on boat pricing, Lake Michigan (Salt Free)

Low prices of CC's in Florida due to large supply of them in the first place; crashed economy puts more of them on the market.

Also unlike other parts of the country, the CC is your starter boat, so the one you are likely to sell when you upgrade. In other places the bowrider is the starter boat, and those markets are flooded with them when the owners upgrade to a CC.

I have noticed that boats offered at lower prices are usually based in Florida. So, it must be the abundance of boats perhaps . . . lots of supply??? I see this accross the board, not just for center consoles.

Southport boats do not kill trees in their manufacturing of boats (no wood) They make mostly center consoles. There may be a few others, so maybe someone else will offer another brand or two.

I disagree, in my past boat shopping, at least in the Tampa Bay area, CC are priced higher then other boats. It's got to be the most popular design here. The ones that are priced on the low end are usually because of issues.
If you do a search on here, there are threads on wood free boats, my Pro-line is wood free.
