Building a T Top out of PVC

I have been thinking about taking this project on for I think you could complete it inexpensive, quick and easily.

I have been searching all over because I have heard it talked about before on this forum I just can not find it on the net anywhere. If anyone can direct me to where any information regarding this topic that would be great.

If not I think I will try and go at it blind and log my project here.....

I have built a T Top out of PVC. I even pulled the boat going 50 MPH with the top on. it cost $100 for material, next step is to invest in a good canvas material.

I'll admit it looks a lot better than some I've seen on clam and crab boats, and it's gotta be a lot cheaper and lighter than those "store bought" welded aluminum T-Tops. That's O.K.!...

I went with elec conduit, project cost less than $300 but I had a mig welder already. Made the top from white shower board from home depot, glued urethane foam to the back and glassed over it with poly resin and mat.
Hard pads were sunk into it after it cured and glassed back over.
It bends without needing a tube bender if you keep the bends rational, 90 deg corners are sold at home depot all pre made.

wow dude you MIG welded conduit? Galvanized conduit? I hope you got plenty of fresh air looks good

don't start with that welded glavi stuff again, I'm sick of hearing it.

I love the smell of zinc in the mornin, it reminds me of....?

haha... yeah that green and yellow smoke that comes off of there is just the metals way of telling you that you are getting a nice solid connection!
