Broken Spring on pull rope

hey guys, I have a 1980 Montgomary ward (Chrysler) 9.6 outboard and the compression spring on the rip cord snapped on me. Is there anyplace online where I can get a new one? thanks

If you can not find anything, try Franz Marine at Chrysler Crew. He has all kinds of stuff.

If its anything like a lawnmower engine spring, they are a pita to get on. You need a tool to hold it and wind it. I'd get a replacement spring and then bring it into a shop to have them do it.
