Brinks truck catches fire on Sunshine Skyway Bridge, snarling traffic

The fire occurred in the northbound lanes of the bridge and currently has blocked traffic.

guaranteed anything that was in the armored car was toast.

all 6 tires were gone, windows were gone and in the AM, just a big black sooty area on the skyway

I just saw on the tele where an armored vehicle’s door became unlatched, numerous busted bags of cash got scattered over a San Diego highway.
Motorists and passerby’s abandoned their vehicles and frantically helped themselves to whatever cash they could get their hands on.
A few were arrested, the police are hoping to catch others and recover the money.
Suddenly a certain Steve Miller song started to play in my head!
