Bring on the next minion......;)
I guess Gonzo wanted to try & save a little dignity......
I'll bet the next one will be a real doozy!.......

Due to some technicalities, Bush can stretch this out pretty much to the end if he wants. He can allow the next one on the food chain to take over and he has a number of months to appoint a successor. Once he/she is appointed they have to be confirmed. in the meantime the clock resets on the successor. Bush can nominate somebody he knows won't fly in Congress, let them go through the proceedings and not be confirmed. The successor remains in office all during this process.

Long overdue! If Junior can't see fit to put Country over Cronie, then at least the Cronies seem to be stepping up to the plate. Or is it a case of rats fleeing a sinking ship? Uh Mr. Cheney? You next? Have you made enough blood money yet?

I'm guessing Rush didn't say much about this yesterday. I'm expecting a full assault to ensue in this thread sometime between 12 and 3 EST today. :D

Bush can do something far more effective.
He can appoint a successor while congress is in recess. This would be perfectly legal and valid. No votes needed. This new Attorney General would only be able to serve until the next congress is elected. That would be when Bush leaves office.

In fact I have a 1964 Duratech for sale with a 1986 50 pony Rudy.It tops out at 30 knots. This type of boat was used in the Bay of Pigs Incident.
QC,considering how long we have been on this board together, I would be willing to make a sacrifice and give you a good deal.....
