I'm about to change the steering pin on my Bravo 3 outdrive and before I rip it apart I would like to understand some details.
On this picture, as far as I understand the steering pin is swiveling on the surface pointed with arrow no. 1 inside the shield, correct? What about surface pointed with arrow no. 2 - is that end of the pin inserted into a cavity inside the transom shield and also acting as a swiveling surface for the steering pin?
