Bravo 1 transom u bolt size

Hey folks i am removing my transom due to rust and a broken gimbal housing. I need to replace the steering pin which is a nightmare on its own (RUST). I am looking for info on the ubolt that tightens the steering pin. I dont want to pay $30 for a mercruiser u bolt which sounds stupid to me. If anybody has the dimensions and length also is it 316 ss?

I would suggest getting the OEM bolt because the threads are formed and not cut which makes it stronger. The issue with the OEM bolt is its really to small, but that is the size that fits. The bolt is torqued to 53 ft lb and that is the limit of the bolt.

Go get the JR marine ubolt. Much better than oem.
