Bravo 1 to bravo3 interchangeably?

I need to replace the bravo 1 on my new to me 2001searay select with a 6.2l due to extreme electrolysis. I’ve a line on a used bravo 3 for reasonable price and I need to know if this is a direct swap.

Yes its a direct swap so long as your doing the whole drive. Only issue if only doing the lower would be if its a real early model

You want to solve the electrolysis issue as bravo iiis are more prone to corrosion than bravo I.

I believe I’ve identified the electrolysis problem as the PO didn’t have a boat lift( I do) and I think they left the shore power supply hooked up at all times for a battery tender that looks aftermarket. That’s my hypothesis anyway.
