Hi All,

I stumbled upon a brass propeller. Looker really cool with the brass and the two blades but I cannot figure out on what it fits. I believe it is OMC. ( see the stamp on the stainless insert)It is a 13 spline, 0.9 inc diameter shaft (23mm). The pitch I should lookup and the diameter of the propeller is 13 inch. It is a michigan propeller but no numbers what so ever, only the inscription cupped.
Does any of you know?

Brass props were the big thing in the late 50's and the 60's. when boats weighed less than 200# without motor and then you hung a 30hp on back.

it could fit some of the early OMC's or a Mac or Scott Attwater,

without numbers. its wall art.

That would fit the early 2 cylinder 50 HP.-----The 3 cylinder 55 to 75 HP.----V-4 85 to 140 HP.-----Meant for light fast boat for speeds around 60 MPH ( 100 Kilometers / hr ) or so.

When did spline drive appear on Johnnyrudes? Mid 70's? Earlier motors were pin drive, I would think.

Are you sure that is not an inboard sailboat prop?

????----Mercury had splines forever.-----First 13 spline appeared on the Johnson / Evinrude 1968 model 3 cylinder 55 HP.-----Not likely a sailboat application !

Spline Shaft, usually meant Thru Hub Exhaust..

2 Blade, Unknown Pitch but assume 13" by the #13, then Diameter, it looks like it is the length of your Forearm., so 20-24" Diameter.

It is definitely not Outboard, some sort of Inboard Kicker or Sail Aux.

It is a cupped prop.----Meant for an outboard and a boat that goes fast.
