brand suggestions for a photo laser tachometer

Looking to verify my tachometer.

Anyone had good or bad experiences trying out a photo laser tachometer? lots of cheapies out there for 15 bucks and up... do they work?

Just do your research and read online reviews. I paid $50 for mine 10 years ago and it still works great. I couldn't even tell you the brand as it has worn off and is not a "name" brand. Find one with over 30 reviews online in the 4 star range and you will be fine.
