I am really not worried about it, I have retired once after spending my almost 30 years in the Army, so I have a pretty good check coming in from them every month as an O-6 the retirement is a good living, this is my second time I have been back out, now I am working for a tech company now in the IT department, so as I said, I am not worried, but it was a surprise to see how things are going these days in a 401K that is manage by a old company that used to do pretty good in the past.

I struggle with saving more for retirement vs/ using the extra money for church, school and the kids. Retiring early would be nice, but I think I need to put more effort to using these dollars for others over myself. Maybe I'll still retire early, but I still have s long time to go.

I don't even open up the statements. Unless you are close to retirement don't worry about it.

As I said, I have already retired once, this is my second gig in life, mostly doing it to get out of the house during the week, and I am not worried about it. I originally retired in 2006, now just back out getting paid for something I love to do.
